Match Preview - Dingos vs Blues

After playing three of the first four games on the road, the Toronto Dingos will return to Humber as a lengthy home stand begins. Up first is a match with a reinforced Central Blues in round 6. The Dingos will be looking to extend their three-game winning streak following hard fought victories over High Park, Ottawa, and Hamilton.

The Dingos will be bringing a strong lineup down to Humber Saturday afternoon. Captain Mike Bocian headlines a strong group of backs that also features veterans Gaz Conlan, Michael Karas, and Stephen Gordon. Newcomers to the club Chris Jepsen and Matteo Lugarini round out the defense. Lugarini is in his first year playing footy and he has already won a Black Dog Best on Ground Award for his performance against Ottawa.

A quick midfield featuring Geoff Hansen, Andre Hyatt, and Tristan Kinghorn will provide the link between forwards and backs as the Dingos look to dictate the pace of play. Club legend Tom Bell will make his 2nd appearance of the season and will be the starting ruckman. Michael Beda and Greg Gilbert will provide the on ball support.

Full-forward Ben Sinclair leads an absolutely loaded group of forwards. Sinclair will be looking to add to his league leading 13 goals. Francis Lacasse, Brad Wooten, and Matt Howell will provide big targets for the midfielders to get the ball inside 50. The always dangerous Mattie Hastas and Justin Robertson provide additional scoring threats up front.

Rounding out the squad will be a strong bench of Jay Shin, Derek Bressette, Kurt Bell, and Ben Moller.

This will be the first meeting of the year between the Dingos and the Blues. In 2022, the Dingos were 9.13. (67) - 2.11. (23) victors. Sinclair led the way with 3 goals while Gilbert put in an outstanding defensive performance. The Dingos will be looking for more of the same Saturday afternoon!

The Toronto Dingos will battle the Central Blues open Round 6 of the 2023 AFL Ontario Season. First bounce is at 12pm at Humber College South!
