The Dingos & Rebels faced off for the second time this season on Saturday, with the Dingos being dealt their third straight loss and fourth of the season going down 3.2 (20) to 13.12 (90).
Despite battling hard and winning a lot of mini-battles across the field, the Dingos were unable to capitalize on any forays forward in the first half, remaining scoreless whilst the Rebels put on a 46-point lead.
Forward Ben Sinclair ended the Dingos scoring drought in the third quarter, kicking truly from a set shot, whilst the Rebels continued to find avenues to goal. Despite the scoreline, both teams continued to battle hard until the final siren, with the Dingos able to capture a little more reward for effort through Sinclair in the forward line.
The loss leaves the Dingos needing a win in their final game of the season next week against the Hamilton Wildcats to sure up a spot in September action.
