The AFL Ontario annual awards gala was held last Saturday, August 23rd, where the league celebrated the close of the 2025 regular season.
After a stella season on the ground, multiple players and officials from your 2025 Toronto Dingos team were recognized on the night, with the club taking home several key honours.
For the second year running, coach Justin Robertson was recognized for another amazing season behind the magnets, being named the 2025 coach of the year. Alongside his coach, French National player, Ludo Barrat, was recognized for his strong season playing in the Dingos midfield, walking away the joint winner of the 2025 Daimin Bodnar Medal (Best & Fairest) alongside Toronto Rebel Charlie Summer with 9 votes.

It was a very tight count that came down to the final game, with only a single vote separating the joint winners and those in second place, which included Ludo's teammate Michael Ladd who finished with 8 votes.
However, the most prominent display of the dominance the Dingos have shown throughout the season was seen in the 2025 Men's All Ontario Team, which featured a total of seven (7) Dingos!
Midfielders Ludo Barrat & James Talbot, Forward Matteo Lugarini and Backmen Harry Moore and Chris Jepsen were all named on the field, with first year Dingo Robert Rusan being featured on the interchange. The Dingos leadership was also recognized in the All Ontario team, with Justin Robertson named coach, and Dingos Assistant/Vice-Captain Chris Jespen honoured as the captain of the squad.
The Toronto Dingos will now be turning their focus to finals footy, where they will have the chance to play for a spot in the 2025 AFL Ontario Grand Final on Saturday September 6th against the Toronto Rebels at 11am at Colonel Samuel Smith Oval.
