Catch up on the news from day six of the Transatlantic Cup where Matteo Lugarini and Canada Northwind took on Ludo Barrat and France Coqs.
Unfortunately for those salivating at seeing the two Dingos team mates match up against one another, both were out injured for this game. Matteo is resting an ankle injury sustained in Mondays loss against the Irish, whilst Ludo will be taken no further part in the Transatlantic Cup after a nasty rib injury.
However, that won't stop us from keeping the Dingos faithful up-to-date on Team Canada & Team France for the remainder of the tournament.
Once again, for a summary of the match we have turned to the wonderful people at World Footy News who are in town covering this amazing tournament.
Canada Northwind (7.2 - 44) def. by France Coqs (10.7 - 67):
The other match today saw the French Coqs defeat the host nation Canada by 23 points. After an even first quarter the French pulled away to a 16-point lead at three quarter time lead from the front by captain Nick Boche.
Canada did fight back with some quick clearances from the middle and finding veteran Kyle Graham who kicked consecutive goals. But the comeback was short lived, and France went on to win by 23 points. Best for France were Decaux and Bonhomme, while Aubert for France and Whyte for Canada kicked three goals each for the match.
Despite the win France have finished third in their group by percentage so will miss the semi-final on Friday, while Canada who have not won a game in their group will go through to the semi final against the USA as they have a better percentage than Colombia.1
