Dingos Ground Eagles With An Emphatic Win

Near perfect conditions graced the Toronto Dingos & Toronto Eagles in their Saturday morning round 3 match up, where the Dingos ran away with a 11.15 (81) to 4.3 (27) victory.

Once again the Dingos midfield burst out of the gate, with Round 1 Black Lab BOG, Brayden Beks, seemingly bringing his own ball to the game. This enabled the Dingos forwards to get on top of their opponents and ensured plenty of scoring opportunities to start the game, with Ben Sinclair managing two majors to open the Dingos scoring account.

After giving up a goal late in the first quarter, the Dingos worked quickly to snuff out any hope of Eagles momentum, with first gamers Keegan Hogarth & Jax Ian working their way into the game and regaining control of the centre square. Some true kicking in blustery conditions from Beksy and wingman Justin "Googs" Moore saw the Dingos head to the main break with a 29 point lead.

An ill-disciplined third quarter from the Dingos saw the Eagles get back in the game after being the beneficiaries of two 50m penalties resulting in goals. This, partnered up with some wayward kicking for goal, saw the Dingos go goalless for the quarter whilst the Eagles narrowed the margin down to just three goals heading into the final quarter.

After gathering themselves at the final break, the Dingos put on a scoring clinic in the final term with Sincas, Googs, Matteo Lugarini, Greg Gilbert & Ludo Barrat hammering on 5 goals between them to close out the match and give the Dingos a 54-point victory.

Goals: B. Sinclair (4), B. Beks (2), J. Moore (2), G. Gilbert, L. Barrat & M. Lugarini

Best: B. Sinclair, B. Beks, K. Hogarth, J. Moore & B. Wooten
