As all the finals have this season, the game started off tightly contested with both teams battling it out in the midfield. The Rebels were able to hit the scoreboard quickly, but the Dingos had the answer through veteran forward Ben Sinclair and ruck/forward Jax Ian who both kicked truly. The two teams went into the first break with only 2 points separating them, setting the stage for another tight Grand Final.

As we had gotten used to all season, half backs Lachy Barazza and Harry Moore, thwarted Rebel attacks and took the game, doing their best to drive the Dingos forward. However some solid linking from the Rebels allowed them to get further ascendancy on the game and extend their lead to 10 points heading into the main break.

French nationals Ludo Barrat and Simon Mondin battled away with their British counterpart James Talbot in the midfield, extracting the ball and getting it into the Dingos forward line. As the Dingos pressed and kept the ball in, the Rebels flooded back to ensure that they could not capitalize on the repeat entries.

With both teams traded goals in the third the stage was set for the final quarter of the 2025 season, the Rebels holding onto their 10 point lead.

Whilst the Dingos fought hard to get the game back on their terms, the Rebels were there to match them at every step, and eventually began to get ascendancy in the contest, extending their lead in the latter stages of the quarter and sealing their fate as the 2025 champions.
