Defender Dan Gunn played his 50th game for the Toronto Dingos in Saturday's victory over the Ottawa Swans.
Dan joined the Dingos back in 2016 after a Google search for footy in Toronto led him to the AFL Ontario website. Looking through the active clubs, he landed on the Toronto Dingos with the name being the deciding factor in his choice.
However, Dan mentioned being a bit worried about this choice after his first training session.
"I remember when I joined the club, I turned up to my first training at Balfour, I think it was in March, and it was raining, and there were only four of us total at the ground (Ladd, Jimmy Duggan, Karas). I was a bit worried I’d chosen the wrong team, but actually I was just an idiot for turning up to outdoor training in Toronto in March. Things got a bit better from there."
After playing rugby in his school years back in Australia, Dan started playing footy in Canberra for the Woden Blues, where he experienced some lean years, before playing a season with the North Shore Bombers (Sydney).
