This week Toronto Dingos and Toronto Rebels will host the annual Tim Shaw & Josh McMillan Memorial Match for a day of footy, mateship and reflecting.
The event honours two beloved figures from two football clubs in the AFLO: Tim Shaw (Dingos) and Josh McMillan (Rebels).
“This day is about more than just footy. It’s about remembering the kind of people Tim and Josh were. Selfless, loyal, passionate. It’s an honour to play in their memory and bring the footy community together to do it,” said Justin Robertson, president of the Toronto Dingos Football Club.
”Both players impacted the league, the sport and their clubs on and off the field. Their lives continue to inspire us.”
For the Old Boys match that will be coached by Mick McFarlane , the Toronto Dingos will welcome back to the field club co-founder Paul Tinkler as well as other legends Stu Wallis, Chris Cunning, Yoni Moussadji, Ramsey Blacklock, Joe Carrig and Andrew Anderson.
It should be a cracking day for the Red and Black.
